How did July's challenge go? You might recall that mid-July, after struggling with some personal battles, I decided to unplug from the social media world. How did I do? Pretty good, actually. The first week was great. I stayed completely off Facebook, Instagram, you name it. I really had some time to think about what matters to me most, and just focus on that. Once I felt more grounded, I slowly started going back on more and more. That's okay though. What I set out to do was accomplished. I cleared my head and became more centered. It no longer mattered to me that Joe Smith went out and bought a boat or house or car, or that stay-at-home mom had new expensive jewelry on. That stuff just isn't important. Sometimes, I have to step back, shut the world out, and really find myself. So while I didn't technically concur the challenge and totally unplug, I did accomplish the goal of ridding myself of the negative energy and that's what matters. I'm only human afterall and if it I can't tweet during Big Brother, what would I do?!
